Definitive Audio proudly celebrated their 50th anniversary this past year, marking five decades of helping people experience music and home entertainment at the highest level. Definitive began as a small shop on Audio Row in Seattle’s Roosevelt neighborhood, driven by a simple belief that sound should move you. Over time, that belief grew into something much larger, eventually leading them to expand east to Bellevue, where their Experience Center now serves as the heart of what they do.  

Today, their primary home is the Seattle Experience Center in Bellevue, a purpose-built space designed to let clients truly hear and feel what’s possible.

Definitive was born out of a passion for music and a curiosity about how far sound could go. What started as a small, specialized audio shop quickly became a destination for people who wanted more than background music. From the very beginning, they focused on long-term relationships, thoughtful system building, and helping clients discover not just better sound, but a deeper connection to the music they love.

Definitive currently has 15 dedicated sales experts, each bringing their own depth of knowledge and perspective to the client experience. Supporting them is a vital behind-the-scenes team that includes administration, marketing, service and their warehouse staff. Their service and installation teams are essential to making some of our most complex and ambitious projects possible.

Training is fundamental to everything Definitive does. They believe that the strength of their relationships with their brand partners, combined with deep product knowledge and hands-on experience, is what allows them to truly serve their clients. Continuous learning ensures that their team can confidently guide clients through meaningful choices and, most importantly, help them experience what they call the extraordinary.
