Redefining What an AV System Can Be

Happy May 2026! The HARMAN Luxury Audio Team never rests, and we’re here to prove it by presenting the new ARCAM Radia AV Series Electronics eLearning!

But first, I would just like to say, it’s a shame that this article will go to print after May the 4^th because I’m sure we would have come up with some zingers. That said, I’m sure we’ll manage to Force something in anyway…

Now that we have that out of the way, let’s talk “This month in Audio History.” Did you know that it was in the month of May, exactly 139 years ago that Emile Berliner patented the gramophone disc recording system? This brilliant leap forward moved us from cylinders to discs, which essentially lead to the birth of the vinyl record ecosystem. I think I speak for all of us in the audio community when I say, “Thank you, Emile!”
