Vienna: The Ultimate Stage for the World's Premier Audio Showcase
Relocating from Munich, the world-renowned HIGH END Audio Show has found its perfect home at the Austria Center Vienna (ACV). With the event expanding into a larger, more modern venue, exhibitors have the necessary space to build customized demonstration rooms to showcase our state-of-the-art products. This year's showcase puts a major spotlight on "The Power of Music," featuring exclusive live performances, including a highly anticipated appearance by jazz and soul vocalist Dominique Fils-Aimé.
See below for more on our celebration of JBL's 80th Anniversary, and don't miss David Glaubke's article in this month's newsletter describing the incredible JBL 80th Playback Gallery exhibit touring the world celebrating "The Power of Music."

A Historic Prelude to High-Fidelity
Vienna is more than a cultural heartbeat for Europe; it has become a global epicenter for audiophiles. Long before the era of electronic dance music and the DJs who attract millions to their events, Vienna earned its title as the music capital of the world. It is the stomping ground of Mozart, Beethoven, and Mahler, making it the ideal location for this year’s show. The city perfectly bridges the gap between legendary classical heritage and cutting-edge audio technology.

Expanding the Summit Series in Vienna
In celebration of JBL’s 80th anniversary, we will be introducing two new flagship models to complete the Summit Series. As expected, these two models will replace the four generations of Everest and K2 products and will represent the most technically accomplished loudspeakers JBL has ever created for residential applications. The Summit Series stands as only the fifth “Project” loudspeaker family in JBL’s eight-decade history, a designation reserved for the brand’s most exacting expressions of acoustic engineering.

Engineered to the Summit Standard
Both Summit Everest and Summit K2 incorporate the full suite of advanced technologies that define the Summit Series. At their core are newly engineered mid/high-frequency systems that combine the output of three patented dual-diaphragm, dual-motor compression drivers with a custom-designed, patent-pending 3-into-1 expansion manifold, seamlessly mated to a custom large-format Sonoglass® High-Definition Imaging (HDI™) An advanced MultiCap™ crossover network, supporting single-wire, bi-amp/bi-wire, and tri-amp/tri-wire connectivity, replaces traditional large capacitors with a greater number of smaller capacitors, reducing electrostatic resistance and minimizing energy loss for greater signal transfer, increased power handling, and ultra-low distortion. Each loudspeaker is housed in a meticulously engineered enclosure featuring internally offset, multi-braced, and damped pre-stressed pressed curved-wall construction designed to minimize internal standing waves. Custom-designed JBL | IsoAcoustic® isolation feet decouple the loudspeaker from the supporting surface, contributing to tighter bass performance, a more expansive soundstage, and imaging defined by greater clarity and spatial precision.
Crafted to Be Seen and Heard
Like the existing Summit Makalu, Summit Pumori and Summit Ama models, Summit Everest and Summit K2 are offered in a choice of high-gloss painted black with Summit Platinum accents or high-gloss Macassar Ebony wood veneer with Summit Gold detailing. Rhodium-plated binding posts wrapped in carbon fiber, Ohno-Continuous-Cast (OCC) long-crystal oxygen-free silver-plated copper internal wiring, and sustainably sourced engineered wood cabinetry reflect JBL’s commitment to materials and execution at every level.

Celebrating 50 years of Brilliant Sound
JBL isn’t the only brand celebrating a historic milestone this year. Founded in a dorm room at Cambridge University in 1976, ARCAM has been based on a Music First mantra as we develop and engineer our products for music enthusiasts. With our new line of Radia AV components and loudspeakers introduced at ISE in February, we are honoring our founder John Dawson by launching two new models including our most advanced amplifier ever developed by ARCAM. 50 years after the A&R Cambridge A60 was introduced by John and his partner Chris Evans, to the audio industry, our team is eagerly waiting to show you what they have been working on.
Building on the Award-Winning Success
We are confident that our new products launching in Vienna will continue to produce award-winning and 5* Reviews and expand our Radia Hi-Fi product range to attract new customers for our dealers.
