HARMAN Luxury Audio - AXPONA 2026 Recap
By Jim Garrett | Senior Director, Product Strategy and Planning

Our North American regional sales team hosted our Luxury Audio leadership and product team in chilly Chicago, IL April 10-12 for the 2026 edition of the Audio Expo North America hi-fi show. AXPONA has become the largest hi-fi show in the US market with attendance this year of more than 12,500 people (+15% YOY), all there to see more than 750 brands from 50+ countries spread across more than 235 listening rooms. We all noticed a much broader demographic at the show this year with a very diverse crowd filling our demonstrations rooms. AXPONA are reporting a 52% increase in Gen-Z attendance this year signaling interest in our products from a much younger audience.

Highlighting our presence this year was the international debut of the new Revel Performa4 loudspeakers shown in combination with ARCAM Radia series electronics. This new range of six models marks our fourth generation of the Performa series and brings to market our best technologies and performance in time to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the brand in 2026. Long-time Revel lead acoustic engineer Mark Glazer pulled out all the stops with these and you really must see and hear them to grasp the extent to which performance and appearances have advanced.
Created entirely in our Northridge, California engineering center and based around newly developed and patented Deep Ceramic Composite (DCC) tweeters and midrange drivers and seventh-generation Acoustic Lens waveguides, Performa4 represents the best the brand has to offer for music and movie enthusiasts. While all six models were on display at the show, it was the flagship floorstanding F346 that took center stage in our active demonstration system with the ARCAM Radia SA45 streaming integrated amplifier and matching CD5 compact disc player. The incredible detail and imaging and powerful bass from the 3-way triple 6-5-inch woofer system left listeners mightily impressed with the sonic landscape presented. These models are arriving at dealers imminently so be sure to put them on your short list for an audition!

In our second demonstration room attendees were invited to scale to the heights of great sound with the JBL Summit Pumori loudspeakers driven by the new Mark Levinson № 626 preamplifier and № 632 stereo power amplifier. The Summit Pumori is the smallest floorstander and the middle model of the recently released flagship Summit Series. Packed with patented JBL acoustic technologies, the Summit Pumori represents the best 10-inch model in the entire JBL line-up. Many attendees stated that these were excellent sounding loudspeakers and were blown away by the appearance and design details of the system. Others commented specifically on the beauty of the new Mark Levinson electronics and their effortless power and lush soundstage. For most, it was their first time to see and hear these incredible products in the U.S. market.
Congratulations to the North American sales team on a successful show. Be sure to stay tuned for more exciting product news as the year goes on. Next up is the High-End show in Vienna taking place the first week of June where we’ll kick off the celebration of ARCAM’s 50th anniversary and continue celebrating JBL’s 80th anniversary. You won’t believe what we have in store for you there! It’s our biggest announcement yet!
