How would you describe what you do in your current role?

Prototyping electronics, speaker cabinets and metal machining as well as support for the Luxury Audio team.

What did you study in school? Did you always imagine yourself doing something like what you’re doing now or did fate just take you in that direction?

In school I studied to be an automotive mechanic during the day and in the evening, I played guitar in bands and started working in recording studios.

How did your career path lead you to HARMAN?

AKG was looking for someone who could repair tube microphones and the job seemed to be a perfect fit for me.

What is the most important thing you have learned over your career?

That there is no substitute for hard work.

Any other advice you would share with people just starting out in this industry?

To stay in touch with current technology.

What are you most proud of in your life?

My recording studio which has a Sony 3036 console that I restored and modified.

When did you realize you had a passion for music or audio? Was there any one band, song, or movie that did it for you?

When I started to play guitar and learned to play my first two songs which were "(Ghost) Riders in the Sky" and "Apache".

What current technology impresses you the most?

The sonic improvements we have made in digital recording.

Favorite music genre?

Jazz and Fusion

The desert island question, of course. If you were marooned for eternity & could listen to only 3 albums, what would they be?

There have been so many great albums made I don’t think I can answer that question.

You have the floor. In closing, tell us anything else you want us to know about yourself.

I built Smoketree Recording Studios where I rebuilt and modified the Neve 8078 console that I installed there.
