Integrated Systems Europe 2025 Recap

Our Luxury Audio team kicked off the 2025 trade show season with our exhibition at Integrated Systems Europe – or as it’s more simply known – ISE. Held in Barcelona, Spain at the Fira Barcelona, this show is the largest residential and commercial integration show in the world. This year, attendance exceeded 85,000 with more than 1,600 exhibitors on hand. The EMEA region Luxury Audio team created a beautiful stand in the Residential & Smart Building where we focused on our JBL and JBL Synthesis brands. We even picked up an award as a finalist for Best Stand Design on the show floor! Congratulations to Scott Campbell, Dannica Brown, and the entire EMEA Luxury Audio team on a job well done!

We were pleased to have been selected as one of only eight stops on the show floor for a VIP tour including the Mayor of Barcelona and other local dignitaries. During their time with us, we brought the group into our stand to highlight the JBL Modern Audio products. Dave Tovissi provided an overview discussing how we took unique steps to address customer wants and needs even down to details like the cloth we use for the magnetically attached grilles on our Stage 2 loudspeakers.

This new demonstration area at the front of the stand featured the JBL MA9100HP AVR powering a 5.2.4-channel Dolby Atmos system comprised of JBL Stage 2 in-wall and in-ceiling loudspeakers. The system proved that our JBL Modern Audio MA Series AVRs and Stage 2 Series architectural loudspeakers bring high-performance sound to music and movie lovers without the visual clutter of traditional component-based systems. While the zero-bezel grilles of the in-wall and in-ceiling loudspeakers are certainly discrete, a JBL Conceal invisible in-wall loudspeaker system elevates high-performance sound without being seen at all. The five-channel surround system we demonstrated intrigued everyone with the incredible JBL sound that these products can deliver.

Attendees were also impressed by our custom crafted JBL Synthesis demonstration cinema room that featured two complete systems to highlight the scalability of our solutions. The larger system included the flagship SCL-1 and SSW-1 loudspeakers, and the smaller system included a solution anchored by the SCL-6 loudspeakers and powered by the SDR-38 receiver. We also showcased the new JBL Synthesis SMA power amplifiers – the eight-channel SMA-8300 and four-channel SMA-4750 – and introduced the new SDP-80 reference surround processor featuring 8K HDMI video compatibility. The 32-channel SDP-80 upgrades the SDP-75 platform and serves as the core of a JBL Synthesis Certified Elite system.

We used the opportunity of being together at ISE to gather some of our top regional JBL Synthesis customers for another dealer council session to gather feedback on the products we have in development. We’ve done several of these before and the input we receive continues to guide us towards better products to address the needs of our dealer partners. Many of the products we presented came from previous dealer councils and will be brought to market in the coming year.

ISE 2025 was a great way to start the new year spending time with our valued customers and partners from around the world and discussing how we can work together to achieve greater things this year.
