The HARMAN Luxury Audio Group is proud of the strong professional relationships we share with our dealer partners all over the world. This month, we spoke with Jamie Feuss, our Director of Retail Experience.
How long have you been in business?
We opened the store in September of 2018, right before Munich’s annual Oktoberfest Celebration.
How many locations do you have?
One store in Germany, one in New York City, and one in Yokohama, Japan.
What was the impetus for opening this location?
We wanted to showcase our products in Europe and have a presence in the heart of Germany where people live, work and play. Munich is one of the most visited cities in Europe and very near our corporate offices.
How many people work at the Munich store?
Seven people on the team.
Thoughts on the importance of training?
Extremely important, we made sure Tim was able to visit Northridge to meet the engineering and design teams and that the team was able to meet the UK team on site in England as well as in-store with focused training from the Luxury Audio team.
What do you like most about HARMAN Luxury Audio products and which lines do you feature?
We love the rich history, design elegance and sound performance of our products. We feature Mark Levinson, a JBL Synthesis Theatre, Select Revel and JBL Premium and Classic Speakers
How do you think the luxury audio industry is currently doing?
The store team has embraced the JBL, Harman Kardon, Mark Levinson, ARCAM and Revel brand-stories, they partner with dealers, prospective clients and try to show the back “Luxury Studio” that is located further down the corridor in a dedicated space to visitors as often as possible. We have seen our Luxury audio sales mix continue to grow year over year.
What is the store's mission?
Our mission is to act as brand ambassadors and evangelists. We are able to speak to the research and development from these brands along with HARMAN’s expertise on sound and acoustics as the basis for the store’s existence and connect visitors to our ecosystem. We let people know they can enjoy music and movies in their home, listen to their favourite music when driving to live events or movies and hear music and movies on our products around the world.
