This time we’re featuring a conversation with Alexander Kulesh, CPO of Russian retailer Audiomania.
How long have you been in business?
It has been 24 years since we started the business in 1997.
How many locations do you have?
We have three shops in Moscow, another one in St. Petersburg, as well as selling products online.
How did Audiomania get its start?
We started out in a very small shop in Moscow and have since grown to having multiple locations over the last 24 years.
How many people are on the Audiomania team?
We currently have over 130 people working on the Audiomania team.
Thoughts on the importance of training?
We believe that it is very important to immerse yourself in brand knowledge, philosophy and heritage, as well as in the products. Without this knowledge and training, there is no possibility to do a good job selling the products.
What do you like most about HARMAN Luxury Audio products?
Not only do we like the sound and the quality of the performance you get from the products, but we also value the modern technology and relevant design that our customers are looking for. It’s the combination of brand history, and modern technology found within the HARMAN brand portfolio that we like the most.
How do you think the luxury audio industry is currently doing?
The industry is doing good enough. Luxury brands have their own audience less affected by the financial problems in society. Since people have been spending more time at home over the last couple of years, home audio and luxury brands in particular have benefited.
What is Audiomania’s mission?
We want to continue to give people the ability to enjoy life through musical experience.

We try to approach Hi-Fi as professionally and responsibly as possible, so we are not only a selling business, but also a manufacturing business. We believe that integration in the audio industry helps to deliver only the best solutions to our customers.
